Someone Is Waiting For The Testimony You Keep To Yourself

We have covered a lot of ground over five weeks.

You are in a story. You were made on purpose, for this moment. The truth you avoid keeps you bound. Correction is not the enemy. And the plan God changed might have been the rescue.

Here is where it all lands.

Do not bury what He carried you through. Build a monument out of it.

God Made Them Stop And Build

When Israel finally crossed the Jordan on dry ground, God did something that looks inefficient.

He made them stop and haul twelve stones out of the middle of the riverbed and stack them on the bank.

Why? Read His reasoning. In the future, when your children ask, what do these stones mean, you will tell them how the Lord brought you through. These stones are to be a memorial forever.

God knew something about us. We forget. We walk through a Red Sea on Monday and start complaining by Thursday. So He built the practice of the monument into His people on purpose.

Every place He switched your path and pulled you through is a stone. The illness that kept you off the boat. The door that closed and saved you. The season you were sure would end you, and did not.

Stack the stones. Do not walk past the riverbed like nothing happened.

Your Testimony Is A Weapon

This is not just for your own memory. Your story is an actual weapon in someone else's fight.

They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

Notice the two things. The blood of the Lamb is what Jesus did. The word of their testimony is what you say about what He did in you. Both are in the sentence. Your story is not decoration. It is ammunition, and somebody nearby is losing a battle you could help them win.

The person drowning in the exact thing God already pulled you out of does not need your polished version. They need your honest one. The one where you were scared. The one where the delivery came on the wrong bird. The one where you almost gave up the week before He showed up.

When you keep that story to yourself, you are not being humble. You are burying a talent someone else needed you to spend.

We Will Tell The Next Generation

The command runs through the whole Bible. We will not hide them from our descendants. We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord.

The next generation is going to walk into a world that lies to them at a scale we cannot fully picture. Synthetic everything. Voices designed by systems that do not love them. They are going to be starving for something real.

You are something real. Your scars are real. Your rescue is real. The God who rerouted you is real.

Tell them. At the kitchen table. In the reply to this email. In the conversation you keep almost having. Make monuments of testimony wherever you go, because the world needs your stories of when God switched the paths on you in surprising ways and pulled you through.

Do Not Finish This Series As A Watcher

Here is the danger at the end of any series.

You read six emails. You underline half the lines. You feel something. And then Monday comes and you go right back to watching.

Do not do that.

Naming was never the point. Doing is. The story is being written right now, and you do not get to be the one who felt it deeply and still sat it out.
