What if the Timing of Your Life was the Point?

I've been thinking about something a lot the last 2 months… I have talked about it quite a bit, but I just feel it’s really really important for right now…

You're alive. Right now. In 2026.

Not during the Roman Empire. Not during the Reformation. Not 100 years from now when (who knows) maybe robots are running everything. (Just kidding, that’s NOT going to happen)

Right now.

And I don't think that's random.

Why You're Here

Acts 17:26-27 says something that most people read right past:

"From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us."

Read that again. Slowly.

God marked out your appointed time. He didn't just create you. He placed you. He chose the era. He chose the geography. He chose the exact moment in history where your life would intersect with His purposes.

This was not an accident of biology. This was an act of divine strategy.

You are not a leftover from a previous generation. You are not early for the next one. You are exactly on time.

The Esther Moment

Most Christians know the phrase "for such a time as this." It comes from Esther 4:14.

But here's what a lot of people miss about that story.

Esther didn't choose her moment. She was born into it.

She didn't raise her hand and say, "I'd like to be placed in a Persian palace during a genocide plot against my people." She didn't volunteer for that assignment.

God placed her there.

And when the moment came, when Mordecai challenged her with those famous words, the question wasn't "Did God put you here?" The question was "Will you respond to the moment you were made for?"

That's the same question sitting in front of you and me right now.

The World Feels Like It's Shaking

Let's be honest. If you're paying any attention at all, the world feels unstable.

Political divisions that seem to get sharper by the day. Institutions that used to feel reliable now feel hollow. AI is rewriting entire industries in real time. Jobs are disappearing and new ones are appearing before anyone can figure out what's happening. Things that were hidden are being exposed. Things people trusted are being questioned.

It's disorienting. I’m watching it unfold and I still feel it nearly every day…

But here's what I want you to think about and really ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you about…

What if the shaking is not a sign that things are falling apart? What if it's a sign that things are being revealed?!?!

Hebrews 12:26-27 says, "At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, 'Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.' The words 'once more' indicate the removing of what can be shaken, that is, created things, so that what cannot be shaken may remain."

God shakes things so that what's real can stand. What's fake falls. What's built on sand collapses. What's built on Him stays.

The turmoil you're seeing is not the end of the story. It's the clearing of the stage.

And you were born to step onto it.

This Is Not a Pep Talk

I'm not trying to hype you up. I'm trying to ground you in something real.

If God placed you in this exact moment in history, that means He considered everything happening right now. All the chaos. All the technology. All the exposure. All the uncertainty. And He still said, "I need THIS person, in THIS time, for THIS purpose."

That means you're not here to survive the chaos. You're here to carry something through it.

Psalm 139:16 says, "Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

All the days. Ordained. Written. Before you took your first breath.

That includes today. That includes this season. That includes whatever you're facing right now.

God was not surprised by 2026. He planned for it. And He planned you for it.

What Does This Mean Practically?

It means you need to know your design.

Not in some vague, spiritual-sounding way. In a concrete, practical, "I understand how God wired me and I know what I'm supposed to do with it" way.

Because if God placed you in this moment on purpose, and He gave you a specific design to carry out a specific assignment, then the most important thing you can do right now is understand that design.

Not react to the news cycle. Not spiral over what AI is going to do to your industry. Not argue about politics on social media.

Understand your design. And walk it out.

That's what Esther did. She didn't try to be someone else. She didn't run from her assignment. She understood who she was, where she was, and what the moment required.

And she moved.

You are not an accident of timing. You are an act of God.
