You Were Not Designed To Know Him Alone

For four weeks we have been talking about ginóskō.

The knowing that is intimate. Relational. The kind that existed before you had a name.

We talked about the enemy's playbook. The lies. The disqualification list. The placement.

Today is where it all lands.

Because here is what I did not say in the first three emails.

Ginóskō was never designed to be a solo experience.

The Early Church Did Not Know God Alone

Read the book of Acts and you will notice something.

They were always together.

Not because they were social. Not because they were building an organization.

Because they needed each other.

Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. (Ecclesiastes 4:9)

The early church did not just know God individually. They knew Him together. They carried each other's understanding. When one was slipping, another had the word. When one forgot who they were, someone else remembered.

That is not a small thing.

That is the design.

And the enemy has spent centuries trying to convince you that you can do this alone. Private faith. Solo pursuit. Just you and Jesus in your quiet time and you will figure it out.

And it works. To a point.

But what the early church understood, what most modern believers have mostly forgotten, is that there is a dimension of knowing God that only happens in real community with real people who are running the same direction.

The Lies Lose Their Power In Community

Here is something I have watched for years.

The voice that says not enough is loudest when you are alone.

Not because it gets quieter in community. But because in real community, someone else has the truth you need when the lie is loudest.

When you are isolated, the voice has no competition.

When you are with people who know the same Lord, who are doing the same work of understanding their design and living out of their identity, the lie walks into a room full of people who know it is lying.

And it loses.

That is why I built the God Designed Living Collective.

Not as a content platform. Not as another thing to consume.

As a community of people who are refusing to let this moment pass them by. Who have settled the knowing question and are now running together toward what God has put in front of them.
