The Stronghold · a quiet word from Prudence

The Quiet Room

Somewhere to put down what you've been carrying, breathe, and listen for a few minutes. A short word from Prudence, recorded when there's something to say.

The rhythm

There's no schedule, and that's on purpose.

The Quiet Room doesn't keep a calendar. Sometimes twice in a week, sometimes twice in a season - Prudence records these when the Lord gives her something to say, and not to fill a slot. Which means there's nothing to check and nothing to keep up with.

How to use it

Ten minutes, not ten things.

01
Give it your whole attention

This isn't something to put on underneath another task. Ten unhurried minutes will do more than an hour of half-listening.

02
Somewhere you can be quiet

A car before you go in. A chair by a window. The end of the day. It doesn't have to look holy to be the right place.

03
Let it be enough

There's nothing to finish here and nothing to score. Listening is the whole task, and you're allowed to stop when it's done.

Listen

The first one isn't here yet.

When Prudence has something, it will appear here. If you'd rather not keep checking back, the app will tell you the moment one arrives.

Because there's no schedule

Let it find you instead.

A show with no calendar is the one thing you genuinely can't catch by remembering. Get the free app, turn on notifications, and the next quiet word simply arrives - on a Tuesday afternoon, or three weeks from now, whenever it's ready.

While you wait

Prudence has been making this kind of quiet for years.

Three albums of prophetic music - TRUST, HOPE: The Sound of Christmas and The Tipping Jar - free to stream and made for exactly this.

If you're running on empty

Three minutes, and an honest answer about where you actually are.

The Rest Check is where most people find they needed to start. We'll send your results, three small things for this week, and a short series from Prudence written for where you are.
