Let me name the thing most of us won't say out loud: We trust God, but we just want a date. We say we believe the promise, but we really just want a countdown clock. But that isn't trust. That is negotiation.

In Episode 15 of ONE ACCORD, we confront the reality of the wait. When we get tired of waiting, we start trying to help God out, and we end up settling for less. Today, we hand back the clock and learn how to find peace inside the delay.

Topics & Scriptures Covered in This Episode:

Trust vs. Negotiation Why demanding a timeline breaks trust, and how to surrender your deadlines. Scripture: 2 Peter 3:8 (NIV) - “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”

The Purpose of the Wait Understanding that delay is preparation, not punishment. What is being formed in you during the delay is part of what He promised. Scripture: Habakkuk 2:3 (NIV) - “For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”

Avoiding the Shortcut Temptation How to avoid the “Hagar moments” and forced outcomes that always cost more than they are worth. Scripture: Psalm 27:14 (NIV) - “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
