In His Image /// Mercedes Behnke

Our image…   will be a stark visual…..

Sanding and priming the lands tainted canvas, we will prepare our region, readying it to be painted with the Holy Spirits fiery brush.

His artistry is golden and awe-inspiring.

The plates of the land will shift to hold His comforting weight, the air will carry His presence, the water will take on His life-giving prowess, and the creatures will sing His praises.

We are NOT the tapestry of another.

We are one of His many ever unique designs, each thread weaved and drawn taut with careful thought      and gentle fingers.

The colors were specifically curated and saturated in His affection.

The picture He made is beautiful and graceful; one deserving to be seen and enjoyed. It is an artwork that longs to spread His divine presence.

Our Spiritual walls will be tall and impenetrable, our hearts sternly guarded with God's companionship and love as our precious treasure.

We will not let it go.

It is a gift given, and will be excitedly received.

Angels shall be sent in droves. Set loose on their missions, battle ready and assigned by God’s children. They will be sure with their gleaming swords and flaming arrows, going to take on the vicious wolves of humanity.

His presence will be normal. And the demonic will be eradicated like the pest it is. Jesus’ name is both the devil's snare and his poison.

Jesus’ name is both our soothing balm and covering.

Our home is Heaven on Earth.

There is no place for the enemy. There is no place for any fear other than the fear of God. There is no place for rebellion. There is no place for loathing one another.

We will be aligned; spirit, soul, and body.

We will know the difference between greedy flesh and our now renewed spirits. We will be confident in our discerning of His voice.

God’s Word and vocalization will be engraved in our very being. We will hear Him and follow, trusting Him wholeheartedly and with joy.

We will be a loving people.

We will come to worship Him together, hearts full and community… Tight knit.

Sincerity and honor will be greater performed than that of deceit and disgrace. We will care wholeheartedly, revealing the compassion our Father placed within us and listening to HIS voice of guidance.

With a culture of honor and learning, we will welcome the lost…. delighted to share God’s relentless mercy.

We will not be haughty and prideful. We will welcome them with open arms, ecstatic to watch them grow into who God designed them to be.

Prayer in grocery stores and in the streets will be normal.

Respect to the everyday commoner will be anticipated. Kindness and heart will be practiced with fervor.

Our homes will be known for their obedience to God and welcoming love. We will be known for our stern intolerance for the practice of witchcraft.

We are His children. Perfectly and wonderfully made.

We represent the culture of heaven. Our hearts overflow with His love, splashing onto those resistant to His saving grace.

Our eyes will see and our ears will hear.

We know His voice.

We love His voice.

We speak His word.

Heaven on earth. God’s will be done.

Let it be known, let it be done. As a citizen of heaven, this WILL be the faith of the average Oregonian.
